how it works Video - How It Works:

Wheel detachment from vehicles can cause serious injury or death and is a major concern in the commercial vehicle industry.

See how the vibration-proof wedge-locking design of the Disc-Lock Safety Wheel Nut eliminates the risk of wheel loss from commercial vehicles.

What is the Disc-Lock Safety Wheel Nut?

The Disc-Lock Safety Wheel Nut is a free-spinning, vibration-proof wheel nut, specifically designed to prevent wheel loss from commercial vehicles such as trucks, trailers, and buses with spigot mounted wheel fixings. Widely recognised as an essential road safety device, it is considered to be far superior to standard two-piece wheel nuts.

Road wheels on commercial vehicles are subjected to a wide variety of forces, including vibration, lateral bending forces due to cornering, heat effects, and torsional forces caused by acceleration and braking. This combination, which results in the settling and looseness of normal bolted assemblies, activates Disc-Lock Safety Wheel Nuts to lock and maintain the clamping force, keeping the wheel securely fixed onto the axle.
